Information Technology

The Information Technology department's goal and purpose is to support our internal and external customers by providing flexible solutions that enable controlled profitable growth. Triple Crown's Information Technology strategy is to aggressively utilize cost effective technologies that are state of the art to improve service to our customers and automate manual processes. Enterprise-wide IT infrastructure, software, and back-office processing are provided by TransWorks.

We have the highest degree of automation and the most advanced business applications and IT infrastructure in the truck load and intermodal industry. We are also regarded by some of our fortune 100 customers as having the industry's most advanced EDI processes and capabilities.

Our EDI capability for our customers includes the following EDI transaction sets: 204, 210, 214, 309, 322, 350, 353, 355, 358, 404, 417, 418, 426, 820, 824, 858, 980, 990, 997, 998, CUSRES & CUSREP. We support all versions of the ANSI X12 standards up to and including 4040, as well as TDCC and EDIFACT. We utilize Kleinschmidt as our VAN (Value Added Network), our Mailbox ID is "TCSR" and our SCAC Code is "TCSR". 100% of our EDI traffic is encrypted and then sent over the Internet for distribution to customers and vendors.

We have automated over 89% of our billing process and 95% vendor settlement processes using Document Imaging technologies as the foundation. Over 45% of our freight bills are delivered via EDI to our customers. We also have a number of established custom "Non-EDI" reports providing status updates and performance reports on a monthly, weekly and daily basis. We will also customize reports for any of our high volume customers, and we are able to deliver these reports via Fax, E-mail or our Web Site.
